A USA-wide survey and study of school boards showed that regular self-evaluations by governing teams correlated with stronger improvements in student performance. In addition, this study and many others have found strong correlations between board focus on monitoring organization performance and improvements in organization performance. A natural extrapolation of these separate but related findings: boards that want to have the largest impact on organizational performance should have a self-evaluation that focuses on the quality of the board's monitoring work. Curious about how to get there? Join us and let's talk about it.
